Demi Lovato is now a role model and very proud of it. But it wasn't always this way for the singer.
In a trailer for Stay Strong - the MTV special airing on March 6 that will take viewers behind the scenes of Demi's recent struggles and triumphs - the artist admits she had difficulty accepting her status as a celebrity at first. But her view has changed.
“I have daily challenges, but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin," she says. "If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded."
Watch the preview now and prepare to get to know Lovato like never before during this documentary.

UFC President Dana White is calling out convicted woman beater Floyd Mayweather.
In a just-released videotaped diatribe, White refers to the champion boxer as "racist" due to comments Mayweather made about star point guard Jeremy Lin, claiming the Knicks sensation was only receiving press because he's Asian.
"Don't worry about what all these other guys are doing and shooting your big mouth off on Twitter," White says below. "What you should worry about is getting in there and making the fight that all the boxing fans want to see. Get in there and fight Manny Pacquiao."
And while you're at it, Floyd, look up some numbers: Lin scored more points in his first five NBA starts than any player in modern basketball history.
Do you think Floyd Mayweather is racist?
Lindsay Lohan, model citizen? Never thought we'd see the day.
The actress is kicking arse and taking names in the probation department these days. She got another glowing report from the judge overseeing her case this morning, and in one more month, could fulfill her requirements at last.
Judge Stephanie Sautner gushed, "You seem to be getting your life back on track!"
Sautner was impressed that for the third time in a row, Lohan completed her required community service and therapy sessions, saying "You're in the home stretch!"
By March 29, she must complete her final 14 days of community service at the L.A. County morgue, and five more therapy sessions. If she stays on track, it's over.
Well, mostly. Lindsay would then be placed on informal probation, meaning all she has to do is obey all laws ... okay, not a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination.
Still, sources close to Lindsay say that while she was no fan of Sautner in the beginning, she now realizes that without her, she never could've turned this around.
It was Sautner who decided she needed structure and rode her hard every month, even throwing her in jail here and there if need be, until she got the message.
It's working. Lindsay realizes the only reason new opportunities have surfaced - hosting SNL, starring in the Liz Taylor movie - are because people trust her again.
Keep it up, girl. We'll sort of miss your monthly arrests, but good work.

Rejoice, members of Team Conan.
TBS has extended its deal with Conan O'Brien by two years, the network announced today, with its Head of Programming, Michael Wright, saying in a press release:
“We are proud to be in business with Conan O'Brien for the long run. Night after night, Conan and his team have put together terrific shows that draw a young and fiercely loyal audience. As if that weren't enough, they have also built a dynamic online presence that keeps fans engaged like no other show in late night.”
Conan has enjoyed three straight months of audience growth. It's averaging 1.1 million viewers per night in 2012.
“I am excited to continue my run with TBS because they have been fantastic partners," Conan O'Brien said. "This means I’ll be taping episodes of Conan well into the Ron Paul presidency.”

Actress Helena Bonham Carter, whose regal roles include the Red Queen in "Alice in Wonderland" and the mother of Queen Elizabeth II in "The King's Speech," has been honored by the British monarch for services to drama.
Lindsay Lohan's probation should end next month, clearing the way for the actress to revive her acting career possibly playing Elizabeth Taylor in a made-for-TV movie.
Hollywood was said to be working on a modern take of "The Bodyguard" before star Whitney Houston's passing, and it appears the 1992 film will also be turned into a musical.
Shakira is putting her career in the hands of Jay-Z - she's reportedly signed to the rap icon's Roc Nation management company.

What will it take to finally get country singer LeAnn Rimes to move on and stop talking about the scandalous affair that she and Eddie Cibrian carried on? It's not even like she was the one who was scorned in the whole thing. Why must she continually bring this topic up each and every time she makes an appearance or gives an interview?
On The Ellen Degeneres Show this week, LeAnn felt the need to discuss the drama, yet again. Regarding the affair, she said it "could've been handled a lot better. But maybe we both didn't have the tools at the time to do it properly. But I've learned a lot. Obviously we all make choices that lead us into a different path, here and there, and you learn from those or you don't."
She went on to say (as if to justify something), "It obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And we're happy, and we're married. I think we have both come to a really good place in our lives. And right now, I'm really at peace."
That's all fine and good, but maybe if you're truly 'at peace' as you say, it's best to put it all behind you. For good.
